Fantastic review dude. Love how you really got to the heart of what this album means and what it stands for. I’ve only ever heard Euthanasia but I liked it enough to definitely check this out.

Never really listened to these guys before this dropped but this made for a hell of an album while lifting. The lyrics are kind of laughably bad but in sort of an endearing way. Shout out to the song that shits on David Draiman.

Good record but overall just far too few new ideas to make it stand-out in their discography. Real bummed they cut the track with the horns and jazz section because -- according to Craig -- the band backed out last second. Drums are incredible as always, though.

Just looking at the avgs and thought the score for Rising Sun was a bit too low. Bumped my score by .1 and it bumped the overall, happy days

Yeah I just listened to Rising Sun for the first time yesterday and it's a much better and diverse version of MYOH. I'll probably keep it in the rotation for the time being.

Great review!!! Might have to check this one out, I made fun of their first single but then this album came on Spotify the other day and it slapped.

I wonder how Luigi Mangione is doing. An honest to god hero.

@nipplehair -- Care to elaborate why?

Total hero. So much has changed since he murdered that guy. Would you be saying the same if he carried out a bombing like he wanted to? He's not a hero, he's just an attention seeker. No different than the other clowns on TikTok, just with more murder.

"The manifesto also acknowledged Mangione had previously planned a bombing to generate headlines, prosecutors said."

Yeah, I still think he's a hero. He deserves to be pardoned and receive a cash prize. Made a saint, even, for his sacrifice and service.

He subdued a murderous CEO, and nothing of value was lost LOL. Dead millionaires tastes just as good as dead billionaires, I promise.

CEOs are not people, least of all CEOs of insurance companies. Anyone who hoards wealth and strengthens inequality/the capitalist machine needs a visit to Dr. Guillotine.

"It's the billionaires, not the lowly milliona-"
Nope, all millionaires too.
BTW the word "murder" implies a Person was killed. A person was not killed, a subhuman doofy-looking fat fuck CEO freak was -- big difference. Hope his family is still moaning themselves to sleep TBH.

Ok. He's a hero. My bad.

Yeah... I might adjust my score. It definitely does not hold up in the shadow of Euthanasia and the lyrics on Autograph and Not that Guy are cringy as fuck.

Honestly I listen to this band more for their aggressive nature and the superb drumming more so than the lyrical content cause most if no of their beliefs def don't align with mine.

Exactly! I think their last album was quite decent but this is a major step down. However I guess I should just

"Don't think don't fucking question!"... cringe

my favorite thing in the world is when """people""" use the phrase "ignorance is bliss" as an insult, as if to say "lol ur ignorant", instead of for its intended purpose of conveying the assuaging sentiment of "it's better if you don't know". ironically enough the misuse proves ignorance on the part of the user.

dumbfuck band

anyway posting in this thread so i get reminders to click on it, and then click on it, and get upset enough at people liking bad music and having wrong opinions, to the extent it causes me to hop off the computer and do work instead

I never really liked these guys on record. Drummer is good but vocalist is annoying, it doesn’t riff very hard, etc etc. I’ve seen them live a shit load of times over the years with them just being on random shows and they’re very good live. Just don’t care about them on record at all
