“Reflekt or” is a nice touch demon.

Sounds like there’s an elephant in the room and it isn’t pink (heh)

Great write up

“In some capacity” presumably I should be lowercase?

“ the boyish charm that only a 45 year old man could” reads like it needs a word at the end … could muster? could wield? Idk

Great rev, just think it needs a proof with fresh eyes (which mine aren’t)

i feel like more effort was placed in the band drama than the actual music here. might need to reread it but that was the first impression.

@asleep

Thank you for pointing those two things out. The site was acting up (read: not working lol) on my laptop so I had to post from my cell phone. You were absolutely correct in both instances

@granite those are extremely kind words, thank you so much!

Thanks for the (mostly) nice things everyone.

For the folks complaining that the allegations are brought up or too much of a focus here, you tell me what to do with a title like “Circle of Trust” lol

guys i just figured out the etymology of this album's title and it isn't the thought experiment

1. According to Terry A. Davis, God likes elephants.

2. According to Arcade Fire, Mormons, the Bible is neon.

3. Therefore, Mormon God must like neon elephants, which are commonly a vibrant glowing pink.

mind = blown

Embarrassed to still be named after one of this band's songs. But unfortunately you can't change your username on this site anymore

I was disappointed the new Sleep Token didn't unearth any "what am I listening to?" sniggers but oh boy Circle of Trust delivers that in spades, lol

I don't care about the allegations (because this band made Funeral), but I do care about this album being terrible. What the fuck! This sounds nothing like Arcade Fire, it has horrific side project energy and the lyrics reek.

What a shame. Win and Regine could have turned their marital strife into something interesting musically and not this dull block of wood. It feels like they cast out all the other members for creative input here.

"by ovmunster" is synonymous with "doesnt care about allegations" at this point, you dont need to keep adding the disclaimer lmao

I don't want people to think I'm hating this album for the wrong reasons! This is just a musical failure on pretty much all levels
