I wasn't sure what to make of this until after a couple spins and it all came together. It's definitely a step up from Liminal Rite, which is saying a *lot*.

This feels like Kardashev refined and condensed in all the right ways: all the little bits that dragged before are gone and now we have an album that is such an even, steady, wonderful journey from start to finish. What a treat!

Gotta give this another spin. Those cleans just don’t do it for me yet.

I LOOOOOVE the cleans here. The vox in general are my main highlight (obviously). Just so varied and killer. I'm obsessed with this album right now.

Remember kids, anything modern and even remotely progressive is djent.

Also pretty sure this has taken over Rothadas/Cradle for my AOTY so far.

Apparently they've created their own conlang, I've got to study the subject sometime.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to emotionally connect with the music as much as I'd like to, at least currently.

HELL YEAH A REVIEW, and by my boy hawks, great review and great album. Pika you agree this is their best yet as well love it. I still feel they do better at EP's but this is their most fluid full album

Listened to this on a long trip the other day and it's really good. They've really stepped up the prod on this album, there was always something off about the mix on this bands music but here it's improved quite a bit.

Keeping up with Kardashev!

Their EP The Baring Of Shadows is probably still my favorite release of theirs, but this comes close. The shorter runtime and better production really elevate it over the last LP.

I'd say djent was a fair descriptor for some of their earlier releases but less so this one - I'd heard them described as "deathgaze" before but this is the first time it feels apt as the predominant sound, to my ears.
