This is their best album in quite a while

“Can anybody tell me which 80s song does Dreams of You resembles (the guitar or synth riff that starts at 22s) ? It's on Fascination.”
I dunno but ‘The Vanishing Game’ really reminds me of Medicine’s ‘Time Baby III’.

I thought I was the only one. That clean guitar melody is definitely from another 80s pop rock song.
Great review! Listening to this band for the first time ever now, I have been meaning to for a long time.
So, what's the verdict?
What is this referring to?
Only one of the best albums of all time... Disintegration by The Cure.

Hey Willie, this is absolutely up my alley. Absolutely dig the chunky guitars and ethereal vocals! Sleep Tonight is probably my favorite off of the album. I am going to hit up the rest of the discography this weekend.

You won't be sorry. Violet and Pins and Needles are their top albums, but they're all consistently good.

I agree Violet and Pins and Needles are the best. I really like Diamonds, more than the latest two. The hooks are really good on that one.

Walking With Strangers and Superstition are best

Apathy towards this band at this point. Chuck a couple songs in the playlist and keep it moving.

I’m really digging this album. Sleep Tonight, Whisper, and Cruel Love are my favorites. Diamonds is probably my favorite album by them.
My wife and I saw them play in New York a few weeks ago (opening of the tour). They are fantastic live. Sleep Tonight went hard.

Yeah. It's 'more of the same', but at least it's all of their "same" instead of just bits and pieces. Superstition is the last album I really loved from these guys. Also, I'd say this is better than anything they've done back to that album, although Under Your Spell is a 3.5 and the other two are both 3.4s.

TBM knows their formula and they work it to perfection

For sure. It might be time for them to try something new though.

I feel like this isn't more of the same tbh. They have been lacking memorable hooks and the punchier riffs since Supersition, but they are definitely present here.

Band was in their mellow bag for awhile

Not feeling this album just yet but that might change. 'Wish' is the standout track for me right now, love it when the band goes hard with the 80s synth catchiness.

saw them over the weekend and they only played 2 off this one (both singles), which was interesting since when I saw em in 2022 they were playing a bunch off Fascination. 5 songs off Pins and Needles tho so not complaining at all, setlist was immaculate m/
