RYM's score of this is so embarrassing

This is great for what it was trying to be. It felt like I travelled back into much happier times when all I needed to make me happy was a pinger and some obscene bass with my friends.

The concept is really cool. Feels like a live set which is probably how most electronic albums should sound. I would have loved to see him develop some of the beats a little more but it was a lot of fun for my Monday morning.

A lot of this is kinda dead but that DnB Ting - Voltage backend is actually pretty mad

his Ultra set was amazing

RYM having this rated a whole 1.0 higher than Scary Monsters is absolutely ludicrous. He literally perfected brostep in his first project and this is nowhere near it's level.

'As a dj set, it's a ton of fun that keeps things moving and groovin
As an album, it feels like I'm microwaving my brain'

The ending of DnB Ting into Voltage is fucking crazy tho. A lot of the middle of the album is just whatever sadly, I'd have prefered a more normal album with the ideas expanded upon a bit more.

miss when brostep was about roaring exploding robot noises and grindy sparkly saw synths and guttural wubwobbles + pretty vocal chops and coalescing melodies, instead of chirp chirpy jungle bird & cricket noises atop low end bass that echoes from the godawful stereo of the half wrecked 1989 buick driving through your neighborhood at 2:47 am to buy crack + fuckgarbled hihat salad tossed into the mix for no reason
last 2-3 tracks are cool cause they began in the prior area, very distinctive amongst the rest
rest is stupid low production value bullshit marred by dj smokey's voiceover slave memespewing
fuck you skrillex indeed. give me REAL brostep. give me beauty and aggression in tandem, not just endless societal decay.
the decline of brostep and its consequences have been disastrous for the artistic integrity of the human race.
