Amsterdam is such a gorgeous closer

Babylon and Amsterdam are the standouts I think. Dunno if I was just grumpy (likely) but I really did not appreciate Sanctuary on the initial run. I like it a lot more as a change-up now
This is becoming a more solid addition to his repertoire, even if I still prefer the previous albums overall thus far

Elegy is really nice too

Elegy, Sanpaku and Raven are bloody amazing. He's criminally underlooked on this site, still surprised Amir doesn't have a review - it's worth a listen for anyone starting out with Tamino.
His tiny desk is also unbelievable and features Colin Greenwood from Radiohead in his backing band which is cool

Cool that people are warming up to this one...'Amsterdam' and yes 'Sanctuary' are more outliers but they're still decent in and of themselves.
I actually thought Mitski returning on the closer might have been a nice touch, a thematic continuity thing, but I guess the lyrics are too personal/autobiographical on that one. Think melodically it could have gone ok, and the composition has the space...I kept thinking about that anyway.
