100% is this album's Blessed Be. Good call.

I still can’t find a single spiritbox song I don’t like. They’re ridiculously good at everything they do. But there’s definitely nothing new here, and I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. I guess if I had to find something to nit-pick, it’s just that I was really hoping for more Josh-only parts, but his backing vocals do make a lot of parts much better than if he wasn’t on them. That’s about it. The heavy parts are insanely good, and the melodic atmospheric parts are just as amazing as ever.

You don't get them track-by-track reviews much nowadays. Pos'd. Looking forward to hearing this over the weekend!

That pause before the final breakdown in Black Rainbow gave me some serious stank face. Already a contender for album of the month imo, and I’ve only heard 5 tracks total

I never really got the hate for track-by-track. Sure, won't win you a Pulitzer, but who gives a damn. Good job!

Pausing at Soft Spine because I need to get back to work, but I actually found Keep Sweet really good. Something about the rhythm and vocal lines scratch an itch in my brain

Breezing through it the second time now. Man, Perfect Soul is just so good. Hard to top, such a great chorus melody. The ending is so emotional too. In total, I'd say this album doesn't feel as diverse as Eternal Blue (although the breakbeat elements are sort of a new addition I guess) which I really liked, even though pre-breakthrough Spiritbox is still my fav version of this band. Singles Collection is near perfect. The Fear of Fear EP also had a few bangers though. TLDR, probably not their best work, but seems solid.

Album slaps, not sure yet if it’s quite as great as Eternal Blue but it’s a worthy follow up. Favorites on first listen are Black Rainbow, Keep Sweet, and Haven. T/T and Perfect Soul are up there too, but really, this band can do little to no wrong for me lol

Courtney dropping a beyond the black rainbow based song in 2025 is going to go down as a top 5 moment of 2025.

Just started listening and that one-two punch of Fata Morgana and Black Rainbow is a very strong opening. Perfect Soul is a perfectly fine radio single but doesn't hit like Blessed Be did. It's also a bit jarring that it follows the aforementioned tracks as I had to readjust my approach a bit.

A Haven With Two Faces is really good, it sounds like a song that would be on the first EP

Enjoyed it more than I had anticipated. Really dug the breakbeat stuff on Black Rainbow and Crystal Roses as it helped break up the general "djun djun djun djun"-core nature of the whole album.

Was coming in here to say the same thing about Haven, it is gorgeous and made me miss that earlier sound... this has good stuff but man the chills I got from hearing the comparison to earlier sound in Haven
