Gonna re-spin this soon and hoping it grows on me. Bryssling is a special musician and I want to believe I like this more

Nice review! I really wanted this album to be more dynamic, instead of just turning the intensity dial down from 11 to 7. I also think it would have been a bit more interesting if the whole Incurso crew didn't show up and the band was a 3-piece the way Bryss has initially intended.

Would've been super interesting to hear some demo recordings with Röndum on bass and Bryssling doing the leads, but I understand they skipped that stage. As it is, Caspersen and Muenzner are doing a good job blending in and not stealing away the spotlights imo.
Interestingly as well, Bryzz originally had the guitarist of Kvaen in mind for the leads on this thing.

Very dense, a lot of stuff happens. The thinking man's metal, you could say. Kinda reminds me of the band Divinity in some ways, although it's got less of a futuristic edge

If you're into dense, do check this band's precursor Spawn of Possession if you haven't. This is more easygoing in comparison tho.
Divinity looks interesting, will check.
