i love this band but not this album as much - vargtimmen and nattramn are both much better (especially nattramn, but it is a little doomier than this)

> Nordic Anthem is the worst thing they've ever done though. Like by a huge margin.

Nah disagreed, it’s a little cheesy and stuff but it’s a good track. Fall rules hard, underrated.

Y'all need to jam some Old Corpse Road if you haven't. Band needs so much more attention. Symphonic/pagan bm with lots of romantic gothy and folk/ influences that with lyrics that focus a lot on English folklore. So fucking killer.

Good to hear shogun.

Read about that link with Isole. Their last one Anesidora was a really strong melodic doom record

I am a bit on the side of Noctus on this one, especially when thinking of their previous ones. But of course, well-written!

The Calm Hunter is pure vibes man this shit is sick. listening to this in the office rn but would much rather be out in a field laying in some moss on a mild, overcast early spring day slowly succumbing to these chugs god damn

Give Nattramn and Vargtimman a try, those two are their best for my taste, some epic moments there.

Fire meets ice and By honour are great too.

upd: Oh I see Vargtimman and Nattramn (!) were mentioned already, second this!
