finished the album.

easily the most insane thing i've listened to by far, also i like the use of the piano mental patient audio used in the first track. was pretty funny.

i kind of hesitate to call it death metal at this point, sounds more like off the walls grindcore. but I do respect the guy's free death type of attitude to his music.

To be honest, I found the bits where he just let the instruments be more entertaining then brute-forcing a piano to imitate a low-end guitar. There's stuff he does on the last track that shows he has chops, but the whole thing is tongue firmly stuck in cheek that it sounds like an in-joke that I'm missing out on.

god the “this is music” hard cut to dream theater makes me laugh every single time.

and yeah man I can totally see that. it takes a bit to really get in the wavelength of what this guy is doing. maybe try psychocephalic spawning first because it’s a bit closer to extreme metal and then come back to this one.

I'll give it a listen. Sometimes I should just take things more literally. The BC page even states that the piano ate the guitar. It only makes sense that the piano is meant to sound like it's playing with a guitar in its mouth.

yes psychocephalic spawning is a great album that still has a lot of structure of a bdm album just really bizarre. the rest i've found is interesting but isn't for me really. it's an attempt though which i appreciate.

i think this one is my favorite so far just because the distorted piano as guitar sounds so cool but psychocephalic ain’t far behind.

best description for this album.

for me its a once and never again type of listen. outside of the novelty of the insanity of it all there's not much for me to connect with more than once.

I absolutely love this guy's vision of what death metal/grind should be. Completely bizarre and alien but committed entirely to brutalizing your ears, like how death metal sounded as a kid.
