I can see this being his best actually, wow. It's much more melodic than the first two but seemingly more focussed and less messy than the records afterwards. The production helps a lot there though. I think this will be a grower.

I know the first two a lot better of course, so it's hard to make a good comparison this quickly. However, I liked this very instantly. This feels like a more focussed 'Guardians' to me at the moment. Lots of melodic layers, but more cohesive and less messy. I like his vocal style here also a lot more than his 'mouth full of socks' vocals on the first three... But again, production matters there too, on Aura it was nicely hidden but on Guardians it was too obvious imo.
