Didn't fully love this at first, but it sold me after a few spins. Got some serious bangers

Can’t say I prefer this to their debut after my first listen, but it may be a grower. Got some bangers on it for sure!

very sweet review art! this is way less immediate than their debut but i think that's doing it a lot of favours (after like 5 spins)

thanks Jesper! I loved their debut but it had a few iffy spots for me, this one completely smoothes those potholes over PERHAPS at the expense of some character, but idk, I love it so much. Id give it a 4.2 if I could.

Jacy is so so SO much better than anything else on here. Counting Sheep and Audrey being the only other tracks that rise above forgettable. Disappointing.

Saw these guys open for The Wonder Years a while back and I have 2 thoughts about the experience:

1. Anxious is an awkward band name to have, because if you're standing on stage saying "We're Anxious" it's not 100% clear that Anxious is your band name. What was the vocalist's solution? Repeatedly saying throughout the set "We're a band called Anxious". How silly.

2. There was at least 1 song, maybe 2, where the guitarist did lead vocals, and the actual lead vocalist just... stood there. It was incredibly awkward. Why do this? He could have easily sung those parts.

Overall they're talented dudes but they really need to work on their stage presence lol

It is a dumb band name, I can definitely agree with that.

damn this did nothing for me which is surprising. first two songs are really solid then it just falls off. the slow songs are so boring. just really lacking some energy. no memorable hooks to me. felt flat. really wanted to like it because this is right up my alley. and yes i did finally check this out because of taco bell.
