It's all about the underground stuff now. There's been plenty of lesser-known melocore releases recently that are much better than what the bigger bands are releasing now.

Definitely. Really been digging Killing Me Softly and Balmora in particular
|
| |
Killing Me Softly owns
|
| |
I'm so surprised they aren't more well known around here. The core goat Mimsy put them on me radar
|
| |
😎
There are a few up and coming I'm excited for more music from on that space. buriedbutstillbreathing, xNOMADx, Long Goodbye, withpaperwings, and Durendal.
Killing Me Softly is def my favorite of the bunch tho
|
| |
xnomadx broke up iirc? i'm honestly really sad about that one because that EP they dropped OWNED
|
| |
The last time I heard someone unironically use the terms "true metal" and "poseur metal" was back in like 2012 lol
|
| |
will peep kme softly
|
| |
Balmora is also sick, need to listen to them more. If xNOMADx is gone then we still have xDELIVERANCEx

Album is great, seems like a lot of the hate is over Phil’s politics and not even the music lol
|
| |
I'll probably skip it but Jason Richardson is a pretty damn good replacement for Oli
|
| |
Hard pos!
|
| |
@JWT: trans people existing isn't political but Phil seems to want it to be tbh
|
| |
yeah there is no way im even touching this one lmfao

One of the dumbest and least insightful reviews I've ever read. Congrats.
|
| |
What a great way for Phil to let people know that he's totally not fragile
|
| |
Album isn’t great but it’s better than this review.

A "poseur" review that fits this album
|
| |
Metalcore is not metal; it is inauthentic and superficial, and in fact, fake poseur ***e.
lol go back to metal archives
