It was a hot summer back then in 2003 when i bought this record

i asked the record store salesman to show me the heaviest shit he has in his store and he put this CD in my hand and smiled

TY Walter u wounderful man ^-^

It was my first real Death Metal record i bought from my own money

The Abandon all Hopes riff has been burned into my brain and is still there today

Dying Fetus is a damn fine first dm band to have! They weren't my first album purchase but "Your Blood is my Wine" from their demo was my first straight dm track I ever heard and I was hooked instantaneously by the disgusting groove and was mind blown that a human being could create those kinds of vocal noises lol.

Band has one of the most consistent and best discographies in metal but this is by far their weakest to me. I think it's mainly the mix because the riffs, songwriting in general is all there but this one has just always seemed so flat for me sonically. Shame because most of these tracks are pretty nasty but they just need to be beefed up so much imo. One of those albums where I'd love to see the band go back and either re record or give a very heavy handed remaster
