Yeah there’s not been a single success story to come out of the trend, desperately needs a line drawn under it

‘Yeah there’s not been a single success story’
Is it even a money spinner for the artists themselves?

If the fanbase is diehard enough then sure. There’s always the chance that it’ll coax fans of pop country over if they weren’t converted before as well. None of the instances strike me as actual reinventions though, only as asides to their career- although with Stefani’s sidestep it’s a little more unclear

The reason why all these libs artists suddenly go for country music is because it's a psyop.
Just watch 30 seconds of the video for someone else's and it's obvious.
They're just hijacking the genre to repurpose it or suck the meaning out of it.
Anyway. Gwen Stefani looks like a **** *** ready for the Olympics.

Purple Irises is so fucking cringe

There's no meaning in most, if not all, pop country these days. Hell, there isn't much in the way of good country music because it's been tepid hotdog water for decades now. It's the one genre of music that openly Flanderized itself for exposure's sake and now you have pop stars moving in and gentrifying the genre to make it more palatable and, thus, that much more boring and puerile.
