This is quite literally not an oxymoron, nor is it ironic...

the distinction is that brutal death has slams but slam is all slams.

slam is basically “what if we made an entire album out of that riff on liege of inveracity”

and slam rules, it’s usually the slam that cross-pollinates with deathcore that sucks ass.

@wretched hence the distinction that it is oxymoron-level and not literally an oxymoron, and yes it is ironic as explained in the rest of the par as despite being called "brutal" bdm is significantly weaker than traditional dm

likewise calling nude muddle "metal" is ironic in that it is not metal at all and "white" metal is just black metal with christian lyrics with no specific difference in sound

then ofc theres the classic irony of trying to correct someone without understanding what you were reading in the first place
