BCNR consigned to the dustbin of history already

Makes me think he wanted to bin off Black Midi a while back.

IMO, Geordie's vocals got much stronger from the last Black Midi album. He's always been unique and attention-grabbing due to that auctioneer style, but on this album, I can easily consider him a great singer.

Agreed that the vocals are consistently strong throughout - the theatrical vibe may get to be a bit much for some, but those moments when he REALLY goes for it vocally ("Terra", "The Magician") are peaks of the album imo

"Sounds a bit like 'Discipline' mixed with some Steely Dan?"

It sounds a whole lot like Discipline, which is good of course.
Maybe not as interesting as I thought it would be, but let's see if it clicks.
