show was great, opener was her new knife which i didn't know, they were ok. tagabow was amazing, great sound. really rowdy crowd, didn't expect that. julie was quite good, sound was a little loud for the venue. way more drum solos than i expected, that drummer is great tho.
at one point during the little electronic parts of tagabow they cleared the pit and this guy started break dancing, security came over and talked to him. also someone spilled a drink in the pit and i thought i was going to see some gore but they brought someone over with a mop after everyone tested how slippery the floor was. why there was a pit at all still confuses me, who moshes to grungegaze? i guess a lot of people do.

wanted to like this more - it drags its heels the longer it goes on (aptly enough, much like Blonder Tongue), but the goods are tight. "very little effort" reminds me of a good 3-4 of the best sonic youth and isn't anything-era MBC tracks smushed together, killer track
