Gonna be up there at the end of the year, if not just for In Silent Grace being an automatic classic (and twiceover!).

"yeah I was disappointed in the lack of acoustic elements. it's mostly just straight atmosblack like recent Drudkh. could've been an easy 4 with more of that neofolk character."

exactly

i wouldn't know anything about british bm ;]

this is great, probably the most i've ever enjoyed this band. this sounds like an album specifically made for playing live, really straight forward and visceral in a good way.

oh @pika if you like this try ante-inferno if you haven't

i rehearsed with the dudes a couple of years back and had a blast playing their debut with them. was gonna join but they went for someone closer so rehearsals could be more frequent, which is fair. they mentioned wanting to do something with me separately but nothing's been formalized - would be cool though

The last Ante-Inferno was awesome, and there's a new album out this year in November

Eventually this one is wining me over. Shorter and different tracks on the second half keeps it compelling. I prefer In Silent Grace as closer, and the one in middle is needless. Leaning to 4 now. Imperial Horizon is huge in all aspects of it. To the edge of tirany is a mean banger.
