Cool band. Fatherly love of a review, getting peeps to chk Mama is what we needed. Will get to this eventually

I have liked the last few Mamaleek releases. I have false started this album, like, four times, have gotten through the first 2 or 3 songs and then end up not finishing. Not because I don't like it. But idk my attention keeps flagging. Need to hunker down and get through it today, aye.

Only spun this once in full so far but I was really impressed, will revisit this week and see if I still dig its weirdness. It almost reminds me of Crippling Alcoholism in a way

Crippling Schizophrenia imo but yeah there's a definite parallel to be drawn (AFAIK none of the Crippling Alcoholism guys have heard of Mamaleek)

This has a similar nonchalant violence to it that Crippling Alcoholism has in its sound. I think that's where I get the comparison in my brain.

The vocals are an acquired taste, but this record has so much shit to uncover with every listen. I’m way into it.

I'm intrigued by the implied existence of Papagarlic and Auntonion.

This is good, but I actually prefer their last two. Solid stuff, tho.
