This album sounds identical to the studio version in almost every way. The extra tracks are just boring, monotonous filler music that gave the workers more time to build the actual wall on stage during concerts. This offers nothing special and was a waste of my $17.

Its like what Kingofdudes said, its a better album all-around than the original, due to the extended parts and such. Plus it makes The Wall BREATHE!
Now me, Ive never been a big fan of The Wall, but this album (and watching The Wall synched to Alice In Wonderland, tell me youve heard of that) really made me appreciate it more. Its like I said to a huge Floyd friend of mine: "Floyd records take you somewhere peaceful, The Wall takes you to negativity almost right away".

once you become desensitized to just how harrowing the wall is, you realise it's quite simply one of the most thoughtfully constructed and immensely enjoyable albums of all time.

you should listen to some amazing 1980-81 pf bootlegs as well....
they were gods back then
also i laugh my ass off every time i hear the mc fucking with the audience and breaking their nerves
the wall and animals are best thing that pf/waters ever wrote.

I wonder if I'm the only one who has this but not The Wall.

Just saw the "newer" version of this performed last night. Words can't explain how amazing it was

I heard some of this recently and it sounded fantastic. I can imagine that a piece like this which tells a story (is a drama of a kind) I guess can be brought to life more live on stage.
