@banana: I prefer Mood Valiant to the first 2 since it's so focused and trims a lot of the fat while still being very creative,

this new one is a bit more straightforward than any of their previous releases, but still quite good

I really think the production and the last two tracks make this punch above its weight. The previous two albums were stronger on average, but I like this just about as much. Make Friends is just looping in my head non-stop atm

@ars regarding Dmitri, I think it's unfortunately sequenced, Everything's Beautiful is just such a trip before it. Drunk drums are my fetish though, and I like the way the uh frello makes the bottom fall out of the chorus

yeah, this is maybe okay but definitely suffered from having heard the previous two first. CYP's highlights are several tiers above anything here and MV has consistency / evenness on its side (the latter being my fave thus far)

I felt like this would become their most divisive album to date. It's gotta be difficult to have your dorky, quirky expressionistic-self and the structures originating in old-school jazz balance each other out, I'd imagine.

Lol the final duo here really is a cracked finish to an otherwise pretty tame listen

Cinnamon Temple could’ve been early for better flow but I do like White Rabbit as the closer

Maybe put Cinnamon between Everything’s Beautiful and Dimitri

Interesting band tho (especially Mood Valiant / CYP)

Why do we keep calling Choose Your Weapon CYP and not CYW? Am I missing something
