The peaks on the record really bringing back some of those Isis feels I haven't gotten as much from the newer Turner output, even that I've enjoyed moderately.

For me it comes down to the production. I think Scott Evans is a better fit for SUMAC over Matt Bayles and Kurt Ballou. He just nails down the live sound in a way where it still sounds crisp and powerful. Not to diss on the other albums, though, because they still sound great.
