I love the guitar tone on this, but the corn just might be too strong for me.

gave the band's discog another listen in celebration of the new album. they're so solid, love the traditional old school doom sound. maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places but it seems hard to find artists really nailing this sound these days.

I'd say not really, the comparison is fleeting but I'd say at least closer to Candlemass-style Doom. Less stoner sludge more EPIC

Definitelly a throwback to Epicus, but vocals also bring Metallica vibes, which keeps it more cool than cheesy. Awesome album so far.

The raspier vocals are also reminiscent of Robert Lowe, sans the trademark wailing.
