Been listening to Is a Real Boy a bunch lately and saw them perform it in full a couple weeks ago, so I might just be riding that wave but I surprisingly didn't hate this. Lyrics are terrible but they always have been for the most part (haven't heard anything passed the self titled to be fair).

Not even sure I finished this but I definitely didn't hear anything that would make me want to return to it.

Yeah after letting this marinate for a little while and giving it another spin, I really only think I'm gonna come back to that 4-song stretch I mentioned in the review. Which is a shame - because if Bemis wasn't getting in his damn way so often on this album I think it could've had potential to actually be a true return-to-form for the band.



Regardless, Say Anything's peak was a LONG time ago. Can't be too surprised this didn't blow me away.

The fuck? I know Max is a bit of a nut but these lyrics are straight creepy. Creepy as in if there were some allegations about him in the future I would not be surprised in the least. Plus what the FUCK is with all these bands either capitalizing everything or using Michael J Fox to type them in. It's ridiculous.

There are some great parts here. I’m not sure how I feel about the album as a whole yet.
