not a bad album at all. I was kinda expecting that this album would be the Dallas Green Show, with him constantly singing, but there's a pretty even balance. Though the guitars don't mesh as well as they did on the previous album, this one feels much more rhythmic and the drumming in particular is great.
My only major gripe is that don't intertwine the vocal parts as much, and instead having someone sing the chorus while another sings the verses, etc.

One of the reasons i love this album apposed to the first LP is because i love balance in music, when it is only an underOATH kinda thing, it really turns me off, but when Dallas green starts singing it allows a wider audience in the Post-Hardcore group, like the ATD-I loving group.

Best album to date, it's better produced and has a better blend of the screaming and singing.
This Could Be Anywhere In the World is the best song on the album and the best song they've done.

I havn't heard any of AOF's new material, but, I thought that I would see what other people have said about it, and if it is better than thier previous stuff it should be a good album, I think if i see this in a shop I will probably buy it, but for now I think I will just get a few tracks of the album and listen to them to see what I think. Any tracks you would reccomened?

there's not many tracks you can go wrong with here to be fair, the majority of them are excellent and will give you a good feel for what this record is all about.
'Drunks, Lovers, Sinners And Saints'
'This Could Be Anywhere In The World'
'Crisis'
Are particuarly good though.

the first CD was the best... and the new ones are sick too but i will always remember the first one its what got me into playing the drums lol and i know the drums dont have anything speciall its just that the drummer can really make you feel the beat

i was really looking forward to this album, and although there are some really really good tracks, i was kind of dissapointed. songs like 'crisis' and 'we are the sun' r very bland and really shouldntve been on the record.
but i guess 'boiled frogs' and 'mailbox arson' kind of make up for these, both the songs are brilliant.

is it just me, or do all the songs seem to be written for Dallas' singing purpose and then George just kind of fills in with screams which seem to have almost turned rap-like. Who else agrees?
(Still a very good record though)

dude this was the best album i've actually bought in the last year.
basically this is the first album ive listened to from them, i've heard a couple songs before that i liked so i got this.
anyways what ive really liked is how at first, the songs have a feel of technical complicated-ness because of the odd time measures they throw in every now and then.
you wont see many other bands with this style do that. Ive had to listen to the songs a whole lot of times to really see whats going on with the chord progressions and time signatures.
(i realized the technicality of one of the songs when i tried to learn it on drums)
i give this album a 4.5

This album was a complete disappointment to anybody who was looking for a good new scremo album. There is nothing 'upbeat' compared to their self-titled and Watch Out. Dallas is definately better, there's nothing wrong with that, but it completely comprimised the intensity of every song. It's not as much mainstream as I thought at first, it's more just, depressing. Depressing in two ways: A) Dallas' voice can just get to somebody; and B) How Georges true throat was left out. If you listen to any song on their self-titled, the energy is like WHAM! where Watch Out was like...bang!

I can definitely see this being the most cohesive and, in my opinion, best disc Alexisonfire will record. I also love the more melancholy feel of most of the songs. Great stuff. Good Review as well.
