yeah I was always into them but it went up a level when I saw them live the first time
This isnt my fave of their might be the most accessible tho and still absolutely rules, Im happy they dialed it back a bit just for a record

wow this is dialed back? I havent heard any of their others yet, but this is quite harsh and intense, in a good way

not sure I was expecting this(?) but in a good way!
This almost feels like it has the soul of an avant folk album despite the eclectic tapestry of much heavier tones and unyielding thicc atmosphere. Great vox too

yeah I get it now, “not speaking of the waves” is half a PJ Harvey track lol
Bloody good album either way. It definitely feels like one of those journey over the destination sort of deals and I’m all for it

'This isnt my fave of their might be the most accessible tho and still absolutely rules, Im happy they dialed it back a bit just for a record'

'good fun' means an enjoyable experience
the fact that my post was misconstrued by a Brit is somewhat alarming

"'good fun' means an enjoyable experience"
Hmm, it does but you also said this was 'basic'. Basic and good fun in unison don't paint the sort of picture I get from this. I'd be expecting something catchier, less obtuse, more immediately gratifying without the complexity. Now, perhaps if you (unlike me) had followed their career to date, it would seem that way in comparison to their earlier works idk, but this isn't exactly a pop record. So for a newcomer your comment was confusing, that's all I'm saying
and I have no clue why being British matters to any of this

That sounds very cool, with all the details of the recording process and instruments used. Single gives me some heavy Supersilent vibes.
