Not at all undeserved!

I love BBK to a far greater extent and Victorialand to a lesser, yet not insignificantly greater extent vs my previous estimations. However, this is still a contender for third in their discog. Lets split the difference perhaps? EPs are weird beasts tho and I reserve the right to change my mind by tomorrow.

All their EP’s from the Lullabies to Violaine Vol. I. compilation are 4.5-to-5.0 material, this included ofc.

hmmm idk Peppermint Pig was kinda underwhelming

Oh I love that sound of theirs with the drum machine and the thick bass. There’s something magical about this primitive dark/goth vibe. Entirely visceral.

Peppermint is okay (double-checked this morning). Head Over Heels is a keeper from their earlier goth era (again, this morning) but they really perfected the style with Treasure. Most of my other CT listening comes after that point, rather than before it.
Where is your rating for this? Based on your general generosity & fanboyism here, I’ll be disappointed with less than a 4.5 in all honesty.

It would be a 4.3 for me, but since I rated the EP compilation, I didn’t rate this one to avoid double-rating.

I see. I guess you need moar goth for the 0.2 extra haha. This was a turning point of sorts.
I’m considering 4.5ing this (genuinely don’t think I have a SINGLE EP 4.5d which is wild / amusing). This and Slowdive’s S/T are my current favourites
