Sarmat is sick. What a wild experience.

Still need to check this (next) but everything I’ve heard from these guys is satisfying so I’m expecting similar results. Truly unhinged and not just in a ‘brutal’ way (but yeah also that!)

and... you're not wrong!

thinking they stepped up their game for Sarmat and possibly here too. For how cacophonous elements of these releases are, I'm impressed by the variety and flow. Love the eerier slowed-down moments, or where they drop the BDM entirely.

agreed they've been stepping up their game. i fuckin love those slowed-down moments too. the title track on here gets into pure musique concrete/sound art territory - haven't heard another dm band do that

New one rips indeed. Instant 4 and it may be a grower. That dude is already a legend man. I went through his whole discog in a day. Shit's addictive and state of the art Free Death/Jazzgrind.

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure the new one is what the avg listener hears when he/she listens to death metal lol. Insane, brilliant album.

after a bunch of listens I think the new one is as good/might be better than psychocephalic spawning and that was peak effluence imo. I might have a new favorite

...it's relentless! Gonna take a while to sink in

currently trying to decide whether this is a good thing, as I was kinda smitten with their sound on Sarmat due to the pacing / relative variety
