hmmm, I actually dipped my toes into the re-recording a bit and honestly didn't like it that much. Most aspects of it were weaker than the original and the screams are kind of laughable compared to Casey's
BUT
now I'm spinning the original and I'm surprised how many lyrics I remember. and it holds up soooo well, cheesy lyrics and all

The new screaming guy is really hit or miss, his got a really weird sound sometimes and its layered awkwardly as well.

Hmm… sampling a little bit of IOYWL (i never checked these guys out because the meme was too strong, even though i liked shit that wasn’t very different, lyrically or musically) and they’re pretty good. Like Aiden and Story of the Year had a child
Also, yeah, old screamer better. New one sounds like it’s a miracle he can keep his voice for a whole tour

Check out their Hate EP - The screamer is a lot better there and they riff away nicely. Heavier hawthorne is always better
