I can’t remember which those would be tbh but I agree the bratty edge-lord tracks are the best for the most part aside from Worms which inexplicably grew on me quite a bit

I like World Eater, Worms, Cheerleader and Weedkiller best, there are a couple others that are kinda novel and You Make Me Sick also kind of grew on me despite the fact that I hate it with every fiber of my being and then pretty much everything from Moonlight Magic onwards that isn’t called Weedkiller I remember being pretty bad to extremely deeply terrible

'You Make Me Sick!' has 'Daisy' level attitude.

Daisy was the revelation for me that turned ash from like, “I’m disgusted but can’t look away” to “morbid fascination”. I was talking about this with Koris and others recently but yeah I admire that she provokes such a knee jerk reaction to the point that nobody can simply not pay attention to her no matter how they feel about her and I think that in and of itself has artistic merit despite her music itself being near objectively terrible

Which I guess is why I wouldn’t dare try to rate her anything other than a meme 5, because like the meme 5 itself, I think ashnikkos entire existence is designed to provoke rather than deliver any sort of substance

I don't want to spoil the surprise, Potsy. I expect you to be both amused and annoyed with me, though. Just like before. I will say now, though, that Karin made it the highest of any queer act. I just wish they made it higher.

Me too. The first four song run produced by Olaf is absolutely phenomenal. If the entire album was of that quality it would be Karin’s best album… but it would also be a Knife album. New Utensils and Kandy are both candidates for song of the year for me. Shiver is high up there too. After Kandy the album gets shaky tho. I love Tapping Fingers and I like Carbon Dioxide. I hate Looking For A Ghost. There are things I like and things I hate about Even It Out but after a lot of indecision I’ve finally accepted the fact that I kind of hate it and it ruins the flow of the album. The rest are whatever…

I don't take the numbers as seriously as I used to, and I don't feel anything this year has been a true 5. At least, it is way too early to tell. I am going to give it a few years to see what emerges as a true classic.
