found a foothold on a good pair of cans and 2nd listen but my intuition seems to indeed be the effect they're intentionally going for in a lot of places especially with the scooped drum shape making the riffs seem to simmer and disperse like incense haze. some tracks work better than others I'd say and on the whole the god-tier name drops in the review aren't my kinda 5s and I way prefer somethin like that new Horrendous
