Also, just realized that those are fireworks in the closing seconds of the EP. Should be cheesy, but it felt perfect.

$12 for a download five songs of modal length 4 minutes is exactly what i'd expect from this self-important cornball band
cannot wait to see their alts start hyping itt

Are they cornballs? I know nothing of this tbh

Oh you know what, I might have heard something about that which I'm just now remembering
EP still rules though

no way they're charging 12 dollars for this
edit: they're charging 12 dollars for this

That is a bit of a steep price.
You figure iTunes charges $1.29 at most per song, that would put this at $6.45.
Maybe they're passing the effects of inflation onto the consumer =P

Idyll Opus has been my sounds of the Spring and this along with that will continue to be my sounds of the summer.
Someone showed me IO like a month or two ago and it has an absurd amount off plays now.

This reminds me of some of the indie I used to love back in high school that I cringe at now

They remind me a little bit of The Wonder Years, at least vocally

I just can't get into 'em. I'm not especially fond of The Wonder Years either tho.

I need to listen to The Wonder Years, I haven't checked them out too much. Also, this is the first review of mine to be featured on the front page, and I honestly feel a bit giddy seeing it there

This is Disneycore indie shit, and if you can't deal with that it's not surprising you don't like it. It's a flowery, bright, squeaky clean story about young love. At least it's unapologetic about what it is.

Idyll Opus is 3x the number of songs, but $2 cheaper. That $12 price makes no sense.

It makes me really glad I have Apple Music to stream this because 12 bucks for 5 tracks is pretty damn crazy. I love supporting artists, smaller ones like Adjy especially, but I can't justify a purchase like that

Album Rating: 4.5
What's crazy is that iTunes Store has it listed at $4.95, which feels a bit more right for a 5-track EP. Maybe 6 or 7 dollars at max

There are some artists I'd willingly pay more for (i.e., small starving-artist bands who seem like good people) but that's why they have name your own price. Set the floor at $5/$6 and give people the option to increase their level of support if they're passionate about it.
But anyway, regardless of the silly pricing here, this has a solid chance to be my EPOTY.

Oh, I'm 100% expecting this to be my EPOTY. Don't really see any other band putting out something as tightly composed as this
