Who are those guys?

The first tracks are kinda Bolt Thrower worship, Hyperion ;) it's that early British death/grind >>> hardcore flavor you're referring to?

yeah this thing rips
agree that best served cold is probably the only weak song but the high points on here are really high - the entire first half is crazy

i guess calling it straight hardcore is a bit disingenuous but these guys are kinda of at the forefront of the mid-major metal label’s push to market extreme metal to hardcore kids. Gatecreeper, power trip, sanguisugabogg, creeping death, 200 stab wounds, all those bands are essentially death metal specifically designed for marketing to the hardcore scene (which I’m sure labels like relapse and century media realized was way more lucrative than metal nerds posting on metal archives).
there’s nothing inherently wrong with it, it’s just obvious what they’re doing.
the whole “beatdown riff then go halftime for the mosh” thing is kinda lame but at least this has enough good riffs to overlook it. back half is fairly boring but the first 5 tracks are pretty good.

Love this band. Great energy live, lots of riffs, bridges the hardcore and metal communities a little bit at shows for entertaining pit encounters. Someone needs to tell bands to stop frontloading their albums tho

@Hyperion agreed with the notion and the bands you mentioned, except Power Trip. I think they did something else.
It's also funny how all these names get ridiculous promotion. For some reason still fine by me.

'Frozen Soul (feat Gost)' is definitely the highlight here

this is just ok. a step up in quality for sure but theres a hard limit to how good something like this can actually be.

This one is definately an improvement, particularly on the songwriting department. Didn't care much for the debut, but I actually enjoyed listening to this.

Watching their live performance from Bloodstock right now and they sound great damn.

i actually found this to be a step down in quality from Crypt. i dig that they experimented a bit with the interludes but overall these feel very out of place and it's like there's no effort made to segue them with the rest of the song as they did on the first album. production is noticeably thinner and the vox arent as good. weird b/c it's the same lineup.

Way too polished and commercial sounding. Thanks Heafy..
