I love the way the album just kicks along nicely. No ballads. No breaks between tracks. Just a great kickarse effortThis Message Edited On 08.14.06

I just bought this yesterday. Classic! Aces High is my favourite. Good Review.

The middle part is a little uninspired, but the first and last two tracks kick some major ass, and the intro to flash of the blade is awesome too.

Maiden > Sabbath tho

It's a good record, but it's nowhere near Number of the Beast or even Brave New World imo.

I'd call this a tie with Number Of The Beast and say it's definitely better than Brave New World (though it is a great album), but opinions and stuff.

I'm revewing Brave New World right now.

I think brave new world is a lot better than this, but i really, really, really don't like losfer 'orra or the duellists or back to the village

I've got to say Maiden is becoming my favorite "classic" metal band. I'm just loving everything about them especially the vocals. I've heard about half of A Matter Of Life And Death and I've heard The Number Of The Beast in full. Amazing stuff. I need to check this out A.S.A.P.!

Because they're crap compared to the rest of the songs (The Duellists is good though)

That's cool, I'd suggest you start with Number of the Beast, seeing as a lot of songs will probably be familiar to you thus making it easier to get into, not that its hard to get into anyway. Be sure to check out their first two with Paul Di'Anno on vox too, he's pretty ace.

Better than the Di'Anno times, yes, although those are underrated. Paul was a brilliant vocalist, even though he couldn't sing as well as Bruce.

i just like how Paul's vocals were more rough and edgy. I kinda also love the production of that era's albums as well. Don't get me wrong i fucking love the Bruce era, but there's something that draws me to the earlier work.
