This did not bring me back to Andalucia unfortunately...
I would say the last two tracks bring down the record quite a bit. Not on-par with Xuntas.

Finally had a chance to check this out a couple times this weekend. I very much enjoyed it, as I have the last 3 albums. You touched on this Sunny, but this album in particular has more uplifting, and lighter moments than previous records. Not to say they've never dabbled with that in their sound but it is more prominent here, however, there are still several solemn moments throughout. At the end of the day though it's kinda what you'd expect from the next Sangre de Muerdago release. Adeus Mi Amigos was a very pensive listen, Galska a wild ride, and that opener Fuchs (;
That being said I do prefer the past few to this one, but there is always room to grow

"Galician music is pretty vast and it's mostly based on Irish celtic music"
isn't Galicia basically the Celtic part of Spain? or am i just very very wrong? it does sound a lot like the Celtic music you can find in Britanny
|
| |
They draw as much from Celtic music as they do from Portuguese. Celtic music also spans along the north coast, so there's also amazing Asturian folk, etc.

This is so damn lovely. Definitely more vibrant than any other uh, dark folk. Idk if this is dark in any metric aside from some sparse moments.

The prevailing mood here is definitely dour enough to merit the label (not that it's one I care for tbh) - can hear a lot of gloom on the periphery here
"I would say the last two tracks bring down the record quite a bit."
missed this, but hope that almost a year has been sufficient time to reflect on how bad a take it was
