mirror reaper is one of my favorite albums ever. i think everyone is feeling this sound similar to mirror reaper but hit differently, and i think a lot of that is due to the different subject matter
mirror reaper is an homage and intensely personal, this one is quite a bit more hellish and fantastical, the first part of a trilogy etc etc
that being said, to me, this feels fuller and more varied than mirror reaper, rather than existing in its shadow, so i'm having the opposite experience of most of y'all
