Astronoid called themselves "dream thrash", similar descriptor but their sound is quite different from this album.



As far as how "metal" this is, I think most of the heaviness is more on the post-hardcore side, but it certainly has some metallic elements at times.

As reluctant as I am to post about GENRES, Astronoid referred to themselves as "Dream Thrash" so yeah it's pretty similar albeit kinda stupid. I listened to a handful of tracks on here, and to be honest, I'm not hearing a single lick of what I'd call metal or metal adjacent. If they want to call this metal though, that's their prerogative.

i dig this record but i'm not huge on the singer, also i definitely prefer Holy Fawn but that's a tough bar to surpass, Holy Fawn is one of my favorite current bands

@ TheTripP they're very good live. Haven't seen a lot of bands of that ilk in a live environment but the sound was very comparable to what you hear on the record. Maybe a little better, actually.
