OR replace Swift with more Swift and then unwind afterward with some kool-aid and a playlist with Alanis, Michelle Branch, and Kelly Clarkson

Just take Swift out entirely her voice is the plainest voice in all of music next to Owl City. But what do i know.

At least it's less boring than this album

I think Swift is very easily identifiable 🤷
I’d say bands like Confide and Inhale Exhale have way more nondescript singing

Identifiable but I just find her voice plain, lacking in feeling and emotion, like Owl City. Recognizable, but just for how much they sound like an AI trying to sing.

I have good METALcore knowledge for sure, but deathcore to me is an empty genre beyond the recs Mort already dropped.
How did Taylor Swift end up in this thread

“ lacking in feeling and emotion”
Agreed to disagree!
Also, i can’t remember how much newer deathcore I’ve even heard, but Hollow Prophet’s Hellhole ep is one i hella enjoy

I was just listening to the new Entheos which was pretty alright. I like that they have a female vocalist.

Female vocalist? siiiick I was on the fence about jamming them but that could be a nice change of pace.

i guess i take both "Suffer..."s as one piece, so i would give them a collective 3.25 (...Hell was the better of the two imo). but i agree with the sentiment that both are offensively inoffensive. even if they followed the trend of obnoxious vocal displays, that would have been slightly more interesting than the middle-of-the-road, good-not-great deathcore that was displayed here.
i wish i liked this more than i do, but after listening to this newest offering, the only thing that really caught my attention was the opening quote on Fathomless Maw. after that, i get to the end of the album without realizing it.

yea, agreed. kind of seems like they're playing the game correctly from that perspective. make short, digestable content that you can put on and basically forget about in the background.
