This album kicks ass, the first buildup in "Bled Dry" is like nothing I've heard and the last breakdown in "Bled Dry" makes me want to kill 67.5 babies.

This album is amazing, and I hated metalcore for awhile.

I was basically in your same position. This album is revolutionary for the metalcore genre, methinks.

My parents don't come home for a while so I'm blasting this album as loud as my computer will let me. I can't hear myself talk right now. I love it.

That's a really good wat to play that album. I did that yesterday on my 300 watt speakers and it was quite an experience. The bass boost was insane.

Since you seem to be praising this album as a godsend for metalcore, I'll check this out. Sweet review, it's good to have you back.

Haha, thanks man. I always hate it when I sound like a fanboy, but I really just can't help it this time.

I know the feeling. It's pretty thrilling to find something new and unique that strikes you as something so good you just can't keep from spreading it to everyone. I could use something to break my generally negative opinion of metalcore anyway.

Well I have a feeling that this will be that "something". If you don't like the album, I really won't be able to understand why.

I'm optimistic about it. The way everyone seems to be talking about it right now, I doubt I'll be disapponted.

But tell me...is this album heavy?

It most certainly is. Listen to the breakdown in Bled Dry for proof. :thumb:

i think this album is pretty heavy, not slayer heavy, 2-3 notches below slayer. Maybe Norma Jean heavy just off the top of my head.

Slayer aren't that heavy, to me at least.

i thought about putting Six Feet Under there instead of Slayer but i wussed out. I think Slayers balls to the wall heavy. Def. not bed time music.

This is really, really god. I can tell I'll like it even more once I listen to each of the songs more closely, but I can already see it's commendable. I may just have to buy this.

Oops, I accidentally said the album was "god". Maybe it's a sign that this album was meant for me? :p

Thanks Thory, it's nice to know I'm appreciated. :blushes:

I thought metalcore was dead. I was wrong.

Great review Thor, and the breakdown in Bled Dry is amazing. Too bad we won't see something like this for a long time in metalcore again..
