"I don't like this album."
I respect you're opinion, rock. And you aren't the only one who dislike the album, surely. But I think it has really great things, especially if you're in the mood of the psychedelic music. For instance Astronomy Domine and Interstellar Overdrive are amazing.

Great review! Just a quick note: it isn't the only "Syd Barrett era" album, A Saucerful of Secrets exists. Saucerful isn't lead by Syd but he contributes a lot to it, for example "Remember a Day" has him do slide guitar which elevates the song to have some great emotions, atmosphere, and gives it a lot of feeling alongside Rick's lyrics, "Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun" has all five band members play including guitar parts by Syd and David both, while "Jugband Blues" is Syd's last song he wrote and its the highlight of the album.
There was also scrapped songs "Vegetable Man" which is an incredible track and quite dark, while "Scream Thy Last Scream" also was one by him and the amazing "In The Beechwoods" which was an instrumental done by just him.

Somehow you are right. The only reason why I said that, was simply because he wasn't the real force beyond the album, as happened with "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn".
And thanks for the complementar information brought by you and your kinf words. I appreciated it, really.
