After two listens, I am still somewhat at a loss. I definitely like it, but this is easily their silliest and most indulgent album since exploding in popularity with The Mountain. I am a bit surprised to see so much Lovebite and Alphabet of Me hate, I think those songs are actually kind of the glue that hold the album together and prevent it from drifting off into TOO much prog wankery. I am still deciding on a rating, but on first blush I do think I like it less than Vector and Virus. It will probably end up being slightly above Affiinity, which is hardly a bad thing. I think Fauna is another feather in their cap

Lovebite is still a very fun song if I ignore the lyrics

Way, way better than both Vector and Virus which were heavier but lacked any really memorable moments and melodies apart from some songs and moments

Each new listen is better than the last

I liked it. Although Alphabet of Me and Lovebite seriously bring the album down, two of their worst songs to date.

Beneath The White Rainbow and Elephants Never Forget are fantastic however.

Gave this a listen and am continually disappointed by this band. I like this more than I like most other Haken stuff I've listened to, but that's not saying much. I think the energy just doesn't ever get to a level I'm comfortable with.

The band has potential and I can hear the musicianship in the music, but this is middling at best.

Really good throughout. Only one I couldn't get into was Nightingale, but not sure if that's just single fatigue or the fact that it took me a while to get into it in the first place.

Haken has always been a band for me that feels like they should click but they dont overall, aside from a few songs that I absolutely love. Gonna jam this though and see how I feel.

Lovebite is insanely catchy. Anyone who likes these guys and hasen't checked out Chaos Divine is doing themselves a mega disservice.
