I think the cover art is nice. It's sad they didn't go more all out on the pirate theme

Isn't there another female-fronted symphonic band that's super into the pirate theme? I can't remember who, though.

You're probably thinking about Tuomas Holopainen back in the 2010's...

That's the one... Visions of Atlantis.
Yeah, this isn't the train wreck I expected when I first read the entire band was gone and the new vocalist was found on Youtube doing covers.

@TheNotrap: My tastes are very diverse. I listen to just about any kind of metal that doesn't have the word 'power' in it. ;)

Ha ha. Speaking of Power Metal... Vicious Rumors: Welcome to the Ball is an unsung gem of the genre. I think I like it because it mixes in some more traditional metal elements, and just enough 80s rock to kind of be its own thing.

This is great. It has a lot on offer. New vocalist Diana has a bright, beautiful voice if a bit one note performance wise. There are some very poppy upbeat parts, some decent breakdowns with harsh male vox, there are some great choric and operatic additional vocals and typical additional symph metal orchestral instruments. Lots going on here and pretty well put together. I may even review this .
