I think you should rethink the location of the goal posts then cause 3 is not a bad rating

was trending towards a 3-3.5 but damn the last three tracks absolutely rule. not a huge fan of the dude's voice but it works enough as a whole i can get past it, thanks for the tip

first tracks on this made me think of Injury Reserve if they cared more about blasting straight bangers than generating smog around your four wars
was okay, grabbed me at some points much more than others (but re. Sint comment, will give this a full spin soon and get that end run)

I love his voice, feel like it adds some grit to things and the intensity fits his emotional approach. The layering makes it all the more disorienting.

Final track is definitely a highlight, especially the closing minute.

Listened to the first couple tracks. The delivery is a bit theatrical for me but I’m gonna try to finish soon.

I don't know if I'd call it theatrical, but it brings a lot of aggression up front and personal, can be overwhelming potentially.

Theatrical is definitely the word I mean. Like the pretty constant shifts from pitches from high to low and shouts and whispers and kind of an off kilter way of riding the beat, it's a bit zany for me. I guess I like delivery to be a little more even, regardless of whether it's inherently aggressive or not. I can tell the guy is obviously a student of hip hop though, I think it's just taking some adjusting on my part.

Fair enough, I prefer a varied and powerful delivery, which I think clashes wonderfully against the eerie backdrop Markey's beats bring.

Definitely worth the dive, hope you get into it!

Teetering between 3.5 and 4. Wish I could give it a 3.7

Idk I gave the last Billy Woods album I heard a 4 and this doesn't quite stack up, though I do appreciate the lyricism and vision for sure.
