Wanted to like Hard ni sasete but it just didn't connect on my one and a half listens, this rev has me intrigued/makes me want to try Tujiko again

Keep forgetting to say this is a great write-up. Tried listening to this the other day but couldn't get into it, but I'll try again soon.

also @DadKung patience/sparseness factors aside, I actually think this is a good deal more accessible than Hard ni Sasete in many ways - mix of deadpan and emotive qualities on that and a lot of her earlier stuff is a real acquired taste and largely done away with here

Not enough sick amens but it's fine I guess

Relistens confirming slowish start + divine middle stretch + deservedly indulgent second disc, not 100% on her vox at some parts but like who cares this is good and big

Beautiful album, excellent to unwind to. Don't Worry, I'll Be Here and Fossil Words are the highlights for me after one listen

This is the only truly exceptional album i've heard from 2023 so far. Everything else has ranged from fucking awful to good-not-great

Would otherwise agree, but the new Gezan is fantastic and almost on par with this. Dunno if it'd be as much your speed, but peep the opener or single from that anyhow

Finally got around to this! Two listens in and it is definitely Good, though I am not yet sure how Good. I tend to like the longer tracks better.
