Oh @Sunny, it had one of the singles artworks before, I had it changed and looked at it again on my laptop and saw the wrong art again but realized it must be old cookies on my device still showing the wrong one. Funny.

first new-for-2023 album I've heard in full and it's a great start, even if this particular brand of post-punk revival isn't exactly my thing

I can barely remember their first LP, but this one is really doing it for me

yeah this is still good, sort of album Interpol should be putting out in 2023
little bit of Wild Beasts style art rock in there too at times, maybe

@Doof, I don’t know Wild Beasts but I’m detecting quite a bit of Radiohead, could be the same thing we’re hearing there though.
Definitely growing on me.

Boney - yes, Radiohead too, but something about this reminds me of the Wild Beasts album 'Smother' only just with the 'deep voice' singer only (that band have two vocalists)

What is it all about? What is it all about?
If I can't hear your laugh, if I can't hear you laughing?
I'm pretty in love with this album and likely still will be by years end.

Less teenage angst than on their first LP, but more piano. Typically I wouldn’t dig this that much, but it gets better with every listen. Still a bit weaker than their debut.

This was a really good jam for about two weeks but it’s the kind of thing I’m not sure I have any need to hear ever again.

only just discovered them but this seems way more engaging than the debut to me. Don't Cling to Life is admittedly incredible tho
