i like that it takes the pop punk toxic relationship cliche to the extreme and comes from a drastically different point of view from how those types of songs typically go (whining about their broken heart etc.)

she flexes about how bad of a bitch she is hurting this dude and the anthemic chorus hits and its like wait you are actually a very sad person lol why don't you just like make amends... think its a neat and honest foray into what goes through the mind of the people who actually do the heartbreaking actions constantly condemned in pop punk songs, which to me seem to be a either a hedonistic thrashing or a regretful sob the other 99% of the time in the context of pop punk/sza's lane of pop. the sheer volume of women who tweeted "omg this song is beyond relatable" when the album dropped kinda reinforces that.

also great for the reasons most sza songs are great... she could sing the yellow pages and i'd give it a 4 prob. only thing i'd say is the instrumental is pretty amateur like you're telling me travis barker couldn't have squeezed her in to his busy schedule? still a bop tho

If any of you muppets ever feel like leveling up from all the lowest common denominator tub-scum this site bottle-feeds you, the latest ELIZA album is some really good tasteful alt r&b that doesn’t sound like it was made in a beanbrain factory like this shit does you’re welcome
