“I like Muse basically up until like 2006 and then find it absolutely unlistenable”
I think they meant Polyphias album, muse haha

“I think they meant Polyphias album, muse haha”
I was thinking that was a weird comparison lol
Yeah if it’s a “shred guitar album” I’ll pass on that bad boy

So much to look forward to! (I still don't think they have a soul, but I'm looking forward to it anyway.)

I was thinking if the whole record was going to be like Playing God, Ego Death kind of relentlessly crushing, but the fusion pieces like ABC, Memento Mori, Fuck Around and Find Out gave me a lot of good vibes. (I wonder if this is the "plastic" Tundra was talking about?) The band gives plenty of space in these songs. (which is good for me)
Small interlude like All Falls Apart has also been designed to be brilliant.
I also prefer New Level, that one was mind-blowing. this one has a lot of fun concepts and is a dazzling one. Before I thought the band would just put on a stinky face and play like a machine, but now I find the band much cuter than that. Playing God is probably closer to that killer-piece on the record than Ego Death imo.
The only track I didn't like was Bloodbath

So in comparison to the reviews, I like those baggages. I agree with the review that Chimera's last verse singing is very dissonant

Jesus the mix on this is fucking silky smooth my god. Idk if I like it.
God damn track three is some WANK

I'll say this: Poliphia are amazing musicians.
I'll also say this: Their actual music sucks. While pretty, nothing I've heard made me care. And that ain't just me. These guys remind me of having the best beat my pecker music only to fail me on finish. Ya'll deserve praise. Ya'll deserve recognition. But alsO YO SHIT BORING BITCH @ME.

ABC is the only track I fw hard the rest is just passable

Hard agree on the rapping being the weakest parts. I'm a big Deftones fan so Chino was already the best of the guests. Though while I thought Killstation and $not ruined their respective tracks, Lil West at least flowed well with the instrumentation and didn't dominate like the aforementioned other rappers. That being said, The Audacity and Reverie are fantastic.

eh..
it's unnecessary to follow their stuff again since their last EP.
i don't know what kind of word to describe this band..
Phap Virtuosso?

I only heard the song GOAT and it was... okay I guess? I'd much rather listen to some actual Ichika or hell, even Covet

First listen, this ain't bad, probably too many guests, I don't think it'll reach the levels of NLND but I'll definitely come back to it.

"Would love to hear these guys write songs and not just take turns teeing off overtop of low-fi hip hop beats you can study to" [2]
That said, I would totally put this on to study to
"This band is like if dream theater level musicians wrote anime outro songs."
There it is
