Oooh nice, that's a Kruder project! I loved tracks on some of the K&D stuff, although none of their records have ever worked for me as a whole. Better check this Peace Orchestra one, looks interesting, especially in combination with that sweet 1999 release date.
I'm sure those changes will be both inevitable and only add to your wonderfulness, so embracing them seems wise to me. As for 'approaching middle age': let's hope not (meaning: a longer lifespan!), but: relatable.

I guess if I'm embracing the more chilled out and / or repetitive side of the electronic spectrum, especially outside of 'just trip-hop adjacent downtempo' then there is evidence to suggest I must be aging like a fine wine after all

Oh nice, that sounds promising. They've got a few super nice tunes but overall I don't know. I feel I should enjoy them more than I always do.
It's all about that repetitive side of the electronic spectrum for me, as you know. It's good to have you on our side. Or almost on our side.

On E De Nan Hemma? at the moment, a 45-minute album-within-an-album track.
Animals is a very different beast. Shorter tracks, flows a lot less smoothly, loses me at times but contains some superb tunes. Especially In A Distance, one of my Minimal Techno GOATs.

First half of this sent me to a happy place where all was dance and love smothered the horizon, second half was a bit of a bait and switch I wasn't ready for, will need to re-evaluate at a later date (which I am looking forward to!)
