thanx for the good feedback guys! btw davestar, this is one of the few reviews i've done that isn't a track-by-track, i'm trying to move away from that style of reviewing now, so i'm glad im getting people's approval for that.

although, looking back, i did pretty much mention every track... but hey, who cares!?

and yeah, im pretty sure this would have come out either at the same time in USA as here in the UK, or possibly even before.

eh, i mention pretty much every track in my reviews. Its not really a tbt, its just telling about the album and giving examples of it from the songs. wow i confused myself.

This came out in the states yesterday, and I've not yet digested it and it might be some time till I do...which is generally a good thing. First impressions point me towards the thinking that as an album this is more consistant than ASCR...but, for me, doesn't have those couple standout tracks (Bloodwork, Skin and Atmosphere, Destroy the Map).

I like this guys a lot....they act very congenial to me. And they get better with every record, this is their best!

i see what you mean cush, but this is more consistent throughout as a whole, whereas ASCR didn't flow so well i thought, and the non-standout songs weren't as memorable.

personally i find this one to be better, but its still a close call

I've dropped my rating on this one. After really listening to it more, it just seems dumbed down. Brock's vocals just don't jump out at me as much as they did on previous releases and I think the big reason he makes Howard Jones sound boring is because, IMO, Howard Jones sounds like shit on elysium. It's still a good disc, but they're capable of much more.

This is one of the only metalcore bands I love. The vocals are too classy, superb, and Brock sounds like he just woke up in The City Below, the last track. This Message Edited On 05.07.07This Message Edited On 05.07.07

This is pretty good!

Well 36 CF is one of those bands I heard years ago (since slit wrist theory) and I liked them since the beginning and I still do, their 3 albums have been pretty good, and this new album is as kick ass as their previos... but I suggest lisening "A Snow Capped Romance" before this one, both or them are excellent, but ASCR a little bit...fresher...

'I'll go until your heart stops' was one of the songs that got me into metal, along with Slayer 'raining blood', Mudvayne 'dig', and Sepultura 'roots bloody roots'.

have you actually seen what I listen to? >_> if you bothered to look you'd realise I do listen to both those bands, and plenty of others you've probably never heard of that destroy 36 crazyfists. however 36 crazies arent rubbish by a long shot.

Well at one point, 36 Crazyfists weren't rubbish. Such a huge fan when A SnowCapped Romance came out. Still their best album but unfortunately, they started to decline after that. New album is a piece of shit.
